Lula Bell (Lue) Brown age 83 of Smithville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, June 13, 2018 at St. Thomas West Hospital. She was born May 24, 1935 to her parents, the late Bailey W. and Martha P. Luna Judkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frenchie Elliott Brown; 1 grandson, Ronald Brown, II; 1 great-grandson, Nick Byrge; 1 sister, Violet Ray; 3 brothers, James Lee Judkins, William Henry Judkins and Clifford Bailey Judkins.

Ms. Lue was a member of the New Union The Baptist Church, retired sales associate, member of the Smithville B&PW Club and was very involved with the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital Children’s Miracle Network. Funeral services for Ms. Lue Brown will be 11:AM Saturday, June 16, 2018 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Keith Sims officiating and burial will follow in Jefferson Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory, 5 children, Gary (Joann) Brown of Colorado Springs, CO, Ronald (Deborah) Brown of Smithville, Janice Smith Miller of Smithville; Larry (Julie) Brown of Smithville and Richard (Carol) Brown of Randallstown, MD; 10 grandchildren, Karen (Bart) Byrge, Connie (Jeff) Johnson, Angel (Tim) Miller, Anna (Josh) Miller, Christine (Darryl) Patterson, Rianna Brown, Jennifer (Charles) Ware, Shelly (Trevor) Castile, Ashley (Cole) Hawkins, Jason (Desiree) Brown; 18 great-grandchildren, Noah Byrge, Katie (Zach) Adams, Austin Agee, Eric Nichols, Mary Murray, Robert LoBello, Jr., Dominic Miller, Samuel Patterson, James Messina, Jesse Messina, Destiny Franklin, Wyatt Ware, McKenzie Brown, Braxton Davis, Rylan Castile, Ryleigh Hawkins, Sarah Hawkins, Suzan Grace Hawkins; 8 great-great-grandchildren, Willow, Paisley, Parker, Henry, William, Rashelle, Alethia and Aidan; extended family, Travis Nash, Emma Johnson, Timothy Miller, 2 nieces, 1 nephew and many cousins and other family whom she loved. In addition to flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in her memory. Visitation with the family will be on Friday 10:AM until 8:PM and Saturday 9:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
