Obituary of Luther Brown Luther Earl Brown, age 89, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at his daughters’ home. Mr. Brown was born in Seagrove on June 7, 1929 to Edwin Jesse and Nettie Newsom Brown. He was a graduate of Seagrove School.

In his early years, Earl was a restauranteur and retired as a mail carrier after 30 years of service. In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his wife Thelma, whom he loved with his whole heart. He is survived by his daughters, Judy Powers of Colorado Springs, CO, Doris LaPrade of Asheboro, Clara Hollingsworth and husband Gene of Franklinville, Patsy Craven and husband Larry of Asheboro, and Nancy C. Thompson of Asheboro; sons, Darrell Brown of Winston-Salem, and Lyndon Brown and wife Rebecca of Asheboro; 21 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sisters, Jewell Lucas, Pearl Goins, and Gladys Nance all of Asheboro; and brothers, Cline Brown and wife Nancy of South Carolina and Rayford Brown of Asheboro.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy. 220 Business North in Asheboro with Pastor Josh Kurtz officiating. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Brown family.
