Obituary for Lynda Teasley Lynda Dunn Teasley, age 87, of the Sandy Springs/Gause Community, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at her home from Alzheimer’s Disease. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 24, 2018 at 11am in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Cara King, Ryan King, Seth King and Joe Dew officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with Bryson Dew, Joe Dew, Jimmy Dunn, Donny King, Ryan King, Seth King and Will Teasley serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Paul Bracey is an Honorary Pallbearer. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 1-5pm and again on Monday from 10am until the hour of service at 11am. Mrs. Teasley was born July 20, 1931 in Lyles, TN to the late James and Charlie Hayes Dunn.

She was a Springfield High School Class of 1949 graduate and began working at First National Bank in Springfield as a bookkeeper while still in high school. After graduation she continued to work at the bank, which is now U.S. Bank, for 32 years. At the time of her retirement from U.S. Bank, she was the Auditor and Assistant Vice-President.

After her banking career, she was active in the Robertson County Farm Bureau Women, where she served as their treasurer. She volunteered with the NorthCrest Auxiliary for 17 years. Mrs. Teasley was a longtime member of Coopertown Church of Christ where she helped with youth Bible Classes for many years.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Teasley is preceded in death by her sisters, Lorelle Groves, Frankie Murphy, Margie Vaughn and Joanne Wright. Mrs. Teasley is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joe Teasley; children, Dr. Myra (Joe) Teasley-Dew of Raleigh, NC, and Andy (Jenni) Teasley and Cara (Donny) Teasley King, both of Pleasant View; grandchildren, Seth (Jenna) King, Ryan (Maite) King, Bethany King, Will (Kaeli Jo) Teasley, Lauren Teasley and Bryson Dew; great-grandchildren, Evie King, Georgia King, Silas King and Joe Teasley; and brother, Jimmy Dunn. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Coopertown Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund.
