She was born Magan Marie Coffin in Owensboro, Kentucky, to Terri Beth Cain and the late Raymond Joseph Coffin, Jr She was granddaughter to the late Rev John A. Cain and Elouise Parton of Philpot, Kentucky; the late Raymond Joseph Coffin, Sr.; the late Anita Starnes Beller and Les Beller, all of Owensboro, Kentucky.

Magan is survived by her mother, Terri Coffin; a sister, Lehee Anne Coffin; and the most precious child, Declan Phoenix Ashley; who was her whole world. She was married to the late Larry Thomas Ashley, of Florence, South Carolina. Magan was a graduate of West Florence High school, where she made many lifelong friends.

Magan was an avid reader, loved to cook and travel. She visited Germany, Spain and Scotland. She loved Scotland and hoped to return before her death.

She was certified as a scuba driver and loved fishing. She enjoyed quiet peaceful mornings on Santee Lake. She leaves behind and great number of close friends and family, all who love her very much.

A casual, drop in style visitation will be held Friday, February 22, 2019, any time after 5:00 pm, at her mother’s home, 1245-2 Via Ponticello Dr., Florence, SC. Magan’s ashes will be returned to Kentucky for a memorial and burial that will be held in our hometown, at a later date. Her special message to Declan, something she always told him: “Mommy loves you, big boy, more than the whole wide world, I’m always in your heart!
