Manuel M. Soares, 70, of Immokalee, FL, formerly of Rehoboth, MA, passed away, Dec. 31, 2018 at home. He was the husband of Luciana (Amaral) Soares.

Born Sept. 22, 1948, in Provacao, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Alfred and Luisa (Machado) Soares. In addition to his wife of 42 years, he leaves 2 daughters, Jessica Gervais and her husband David and Rebecca Viera and her husband Brian; and 6 grandchildren, Lilliana, Cody, Owen, Jayden, Hunter and Maverick.

He was also the brother of Alfred Soares, the late Benjamin Soares, and the late Maria Jose Furtado. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours Wednesday, Jan. 9, from 12noon until 1:45pm in the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence.

Burial will follow immediately afterwards at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, Jan. 5, at Ave Maria Parish, Ave Maria, Florida.
