Obituary for Marcia Anne Cooper Marcia Anne Cooper of Newnan, GA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Marcia was born on December 1, 1940 in Passaic, NJ to Harry and Marguerite McCrea. When Marcia was in high school her family moved to Belmar, NJ on the Jersey Shore.

Ballet was Marcia’s life, when she was 18 years old she opened the Marcia Anne Dance Studio in Belmar, NJ where she taught dance for over 30 years. Marcia is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, William J. Cooper Jr and her sister Gail Elwood of Barnegat, NJ. Marcia is survived by her son, William J. Cooper III and his wife Diane Cooper of Sharpsburg, GA, her sister Joan Gardner of Waldwick, NJ, and four grandchildren; Dylan Cooper, Tyler Cooper, Brooke Cooper all from Sharpsburg, Sofia Cooper in New Jersey Marcia was a communicant of St. George Catholic Church in Newnan, GA.

Visitation will be Monday, November 26, 2018 from 6-8pm at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at St, George Catholic Church, 771 Roscoe Rd, Newnan, GA followed by interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Roscoe Road in Newnan, GA. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Vincent DePaul Society.
