Obituary for Roger Melvin Jones Roger Melvin Jones, 82, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 at his residence. He was born December 11, 1935 in Atlanta, GA. After graduating high school in Atlanta, GA he attended Georgia State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in the class of 1961.

He owned and operated Roger Jones & Associates and was a member of SonRise Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by parents, Herbert & Val Jones and nephew, Blake Bryant. He is survived by sisters, Susan Hopper of Newnan, GA, Sasa Williams and husband John of Arizona, and Denise Smith; nephew, Bobby Bryant of Cape Corral, FL and many extended family and friends.

Condolences may be expressed online at www. mckoon.com. The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home 38 Jackson St. Newnan with Dr. Tim Riordan officiating.

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM till service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity in honor of Roger.
