Obituary for Margaret E Seasly Margaret E. Seasly (nee VanWinkle) – passed away peacefully at home under hospice care, Thursday, August 23, 2018. Age 93 years. Born May 18, 1925 in Abington, Illinois to her parents Gladys (Cafferty) and George VanWinkle.

Survived by her sons and their wives John (Pat), Allen (Debbie), and Craig (Debbie) Seasly, her grandchildren Barb (Eric) Skartveit, Zach (Jennifer) Seasly, Stephanie (Trea) Seasly-Guidry, Bryan Seasly, her two great-grandchildren Cody Skartveit and Madelyn Rae Seasly and her constant companion her fur baby Caralee. Preceded in death by her husband John, her son Rodney, her parents, and 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She served in the Army Nursing Corps.

Graduated from the College of St. Francis in 1979 with a B.S in Nursing. She had worked as a registered nurse, ending her nursing career as a school nurse. Margaret married her husband John B. Seasly on May 25, 1946 celebrating 57 years of marriage together before his death in 2003.

Margaret was a talented china painter, making lifelong friends along the way thru her association with the Plainfield Daises and the Joliet Rosebuds China Painting Clubs. Visitation will be held at Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Road, Joliet, IL. , Thursday, August 30th from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M with a Prayer Service at 10:30 A.M. Memorials in her memory can be made to the Joliet Area Community Hospice or Westminster Presbyterian Church of Joliet.
