Obituary for Margaret Hazel Manis Margaret Hazel Manis, 81, of Rogersville, TN, went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2018, after a brief stay at Holston Valley Medical Center and a long battle with cancer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a member of Keplar Missionary Baptist Church, but she attended Bass Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Otis; infant son, James William; her parents, James and Verna Hunley; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by five children, Darlene Skelton (Mike), Lynn Manis (Debbie), Allen Manis (Rhonda) all of Rogersville, Angela Barrett (Mark) of Surgoinsville, Deanna Everhart (Jeff) of Bulls Gap; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; three sisters; one sister-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Tina Rossetti. A special thanks to the staff of Kingsport Oncology and Hematology, Dr. McElroy and his nurse Joyce, and the many caregivers that were involved with her medical care.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Mark Barrett, Rev. William Truman, and Rev.

David Rossetti officiating. Graveside services will be held at Long’s Bend Cemetery on Monday, May 28, 2018, at 11:00 am. The funeral procession will leave Christian-Sells Funeral Home at 10:00 am.
