Margaret J. Wienges fondly known as “Peggy”, 75, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey. Margaret also known to her family as “Cookie” was born on September 6, 1942 in Bronx, New York, where she was raised for the beginning part of her childhood, before moving to Long Island, New York with her family. After marrying her husband, James, they began their life and family together in the Bronx, and in 1983, settled in Hazlet, New Jersey.

While living in Hazlet, Margaret worked for the Hazlet Board of Education as a Secretary for Raritan High School for many years. She was predeceased by her parents, and her beloved husband, James Wienges. Margaret is survived by her loving children, Kris A. Keehn and her husband, Robert, of Hazlet, New Jersey, Jeanette Carter and her husband, Darrell, of Grove City, Ohio, and Gregory Wienges of Hazlet, New Jersey, along with her cherished grandchildren, Lauren Wienges, Alexis Cutignola, Ryan Cutignola, Morgan Stewart, and Kyle Stewart, and her adored great grandson, Michael Sullivan.

Margaret will be greatly missed, but never forgotten In respect of Margaret’s wishes, she will be privately cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours.
