Susan Compolongo, 78, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. She was born Susan Bogaert on August 24, 1939 in Staten Island, New York, where she grew up and raised her family. Before retirement, Susan worked as a Custodian for the New York City Board of Education for many years, before moving to Hazlet, New Jersey.

She was predeceased by her parents, Adolph and Florence (Forni) Bogaert, her beloved husband, Joseph Compolongo, and her adored daughter, Celeste Genovese. Susan is survived by her loving daughter, Theresa Mitarotondo and her husband, Dominick, of Middletown, New Jersey, and her cherished grandchildren, Thomas Genovese, Anna Mitarotondo, and Nina Mitarotondo. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours. In respect of Susan’s wishes, she will be privately cremated.
