Renee Lynn Zimmerman, 54, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. She was born Renee Lynn Franck on August 1, 1963 in Landstuhl, Germany and when she was four years old, she and her family relocated to the United States. Renee grew up in Hazlet, New Jersey, where she remained to raise her son, John.

She was a graduate of Raritan High School and for the last 33 years worked as a Post-woman for the Matawan Post Office. Renee was an avid New Orleans Saint’s fan, and over the recent years due to her son John’s influence, also became a big fan of Michigan College football. Renee was a wonderful woman with a huge heart and she was loved by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her parents, Milton and Wilma (Stoecker) Franck and her loving siblings, Christine Groden, Randolf Franck, and Sheila Alsman. Renee is survived by her beloved son, John Zimmerman of Hazlet, New Jersey, her cherished nieces and nephews, Angela Leo, Rob Groden and his wife, Melissa, John Groden, Melanie Groden, and Michael Groden, along with 6 adored great nieces and 2 dear great nephews. Renee will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours. In respect of Renee’s wishes, she will be privately cremated.
