Lorraine Steuerer, 82, of Aberdeen, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 30, 2018 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, New Jersey. She was born Lorraine McKenney on September 8, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York. In 1969 she moved to Aberdeen, New Jersey where she resided and raised her family.

Lorraine retired from Crum and Forster Insurance Company in New York, NY where she worked for many years as an insurance underwriter. She was predeceased by her parents, Lewis Edward and Alice (Murphy) McKenney, and her son Kevin Schweer. Lorraine is survived by her beloved son, Lewis Steuerer and his wife Ellen of Aberdeen, New Jersey, her loving daughter-in-law, Roni Schweer of Edison, New Jersey, and her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Steuerer, Kevin Steuerer, Alexa Schweer and Justin Steuerer.

Lorraine will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday morning, May 4, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In respect of Lorraine’s wishes, she will be privately cremated.
