Felicita Hernandez, 89, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2018 at Regency Park Nursing Center. She was born Felicita Hernandez on August 12, 1928 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, where she grew up. In 1945 she moved to Manhattan, New York, where she resided until 1979, before moving to Keyport, New Jersey.

In 2011, Felicita moved to Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey and in 2014 she settled in Hazlet, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her parents, Jose and Luisa Hernandez, her beloved husband, Francisco Hernandez, her siblings, Rubin Hernandez, William Hernandez, and Mercedes Hernandez. Felicita is survived by her loving children, Nydia Mitchell and her husband, Peter of Silver Bay, New York, Haydee Hernandez of Hazlet, New Jersey, John Hernandez and his wife, Patricia of New York, New York, and Jennette Hernandez of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, her dear siblings, Jesus Hernandez, Luz Hernandez, Jose Hernandez and Carmine Hernandez, her cherished grandchildren, Erik Morcilio, Jason Morcilio, Dana Morcilio, Evan DeWeever, Erica DeWeever and her adored great-grandson, Aiden Morcilio.

Felicita will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Interment will be held at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, New Jersey 08562 on Friday, May 4, 2018. For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.
