Obituary for Margaret “Peg” Hatfield Margaret “Peg” Hatfield, age 83, of Royal Oak, passed away November 3, 2018. Peg was born in Detroit, Michigan and attended Hazel Park High School. She later owned and operated a successful bar in Detroit (“Peggy’s Saloon”) for twelve years.

In her spare time, Peg was a passionate reader. She was also very fond of her iPad, and more recently, the fan that she always had by her bedside. Above all else, Peg loved spending time with children-especially her grandchildren.

Peg was the beloved wife of Danny (d. 2010). Loving mother of Michael Armstrong, Diane Davis, Ronald Armstrong, Margaret (Richard) Gurne, and Dennis (Danielle) Armstrong.

Dear grandmother of Michael Armstrong, Dennis Armstrong, Kelly Davis, Angie Davis, Carrie Holifield, Ronald Armstrong, Matthew Armstrong, Emily Armstrong, Christina Kelbert, Alexander Gurne, Nachelle Armstrong, Jessica Armstrong, and Shelby Schultz. Dear great-grandmother to sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place Monday, November 5, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. at Wm.

Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Road, in Royal Oak (4 blocks east of Woodward). Burial will take place at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
