Marguerite’s Obituary Marguerite F. Furlong, 91, of Oswego, passed away on May 15, 2019 at Oswego Hospital. Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Marguerite (Hall) Ferguson. She met and married her late husband, of 42 years, William A. Lawton.

Together they raised their family in the Town of Oswego. Marguerite loved cooking, and enjoyed trips to the Casino. More than anything, she loved her family and cherished her time with them.

Surviving are her children; daughters, Marguerite (John) Slattery of the Town of Oswego and Jo-Ann Pritchard of Fair Haven; sons, Bill (Ellen) Lawton of the Town of Oswego and Edward (Sheri) Lawton of the Town of Oswego; six grandchildren, Francis Slattery, William Lawton, Katrina Lawton- Nichols, Ashley Pritchard, Hunter Lawton and Linsey Lawton; and three great grandchildren, Matthew Slattery, Austin and Sydney Lawton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William A. Lawton; her grandson John F. Slattery Jr.; son in law, John W. Pritchard; and four brothers, Robert, Alfred, Harold and Edward Ferguson. She was also predeceased by her second husband Donovan Furlong.

Calling hours will be on Monday, May 20th from 3-6pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 21st at 10am at the funeral home and burial will take place at Rural Cemetery. Nelson Funeral Home has care of her arrangements.
