Obituary for Marian M. Binderup Marian M. Binderup, 89, of Minden passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Kearney Region Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. On Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Minden with the Rev.

Donald Hunzeker officiating. Private family burial will be held prior to services at the Minden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Craig Funeral Home in Minden.

Marian was born on December 1, 1928 in rural Kearney County, NE to Carl W. and Mildred (Petersen) Meyer. She attended school in Minden and graduated from Minden High School. She later attended Kearney State Teachers College.

On December 27, 1952, Marian was united in marriage to Mark S. Binderup and to this union, three sons were born: Scott, Bob and Jim. The family made their home in the Minden area where Marian taught school in Kearney County for over 36 years before retiring. Marian touched the lives of many students and helping them learn and grow was a true passion of hers.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Minden Marian enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to sew. She taught many of her nieces and grandchildren how to sew and she made several quilts for the church that went overseas.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Scott Binderup and wife Donna and Jim Binderup and wife Tammie all of Minden; daughter-in-law, Ronda Binderup of Minden; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Layton and husband Ralph of Minden and Eleanor Etzelmiller and husband Phil of Lincoln; brothers, Marvin Meyer and wife Sonja of Ft. Collins, CO, Russell Meyer and wife Karen of Minden and Kendall Meyer and wife Edna of Ogallala, NE as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mark in 2008; son, Robert in 2010; and one brother, Stan Meyer.
