Marian Carolyn (Hanson) Herr, 83, of Bemidji, MN died Friday, September 14, 2018 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Trinity Free Lutheran Cemetery, Pony Lake. Marian was born in Pinewood, MN November 21, 1934 to Mary and William Hanson.

She grew up in the area and attended Bemidji High School. After school Marian moved to Minneapolis to work, after employment ended she returned home. She met James Adam Herr and married September 1956 and had 3 daughters, Mary Ann, Carol Jean and JoAnne Marie.

After their separation, Marian continued living in the area. Marian worked at the lunch counter at the Bemidji Sales Barn, served lunches at auctions, sub deliver driver for U.S. Mail, delivered papers for Bemidji Pioneer and babysat. She loved doing crafts, tri-chem painting, sewing and made Barbie doll clothes.

She loved bingo and playing cards. She moved into Ridgeway Apartments where she lived until she was medically unable to live alone. She moved in with her daughter Carol and her husband until her health condition worsened, moving into Cornerstone until her death.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Carol Jean and JoAnne Marie; 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Mary Ann.
