Obituary for Marie A. Martin Marie A. Martin passed away suddenly Monday at Kaiser hospital in Vallejo. She was born in Gulfport, Mississippi to Neil and Virginia Frechette but has called Benicia her home for over 70 years. Marie lived the american dream, she was married to her high school sweetheart Jimmy Martin for 44 years.

Marie graduated high school in Benicia in 1964 and was prom queen/king with Jimmy. She worked at her families business F&P trophy before she became a clerk at Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo for many years. Marie loved watching her grandchildren in all their activities, especially sports.

She was a avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, old movies, watching the Wheel of Fortune, Judge Judy and the movie The Notebook. Marie enjoyed spending time with family and friends as much as she could and was always so supportive. She was a loving Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Marie loved that she was a Blackfoot Indian and would give you a knuckle sandwich with beansprouts if you dared to disagree with mom. She is survived by her sons James E. (Eleanor) Martin Jr. and Raymond (Sarah) Martin; sister Martha (Gail) Core; grandchildren Jeremy Martin, Erica Gatmatain, Jared Clemons, Taylor Martin and Shane Martin; great grandchildren Adeline Clemons, Seliha, Velina & Ellianne Menendez and Jason Flores. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband James E. Martin Sr. in2012. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 17th at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel. Burial will be private at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
