Marie E. Allen Nee Carr, 90, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Brethren Care Village in Ashland, Ohio. She was born May 3, 1928 in Lodi, Ohio, the daughter of Ward and Glady (Miller) Carr. Marie was married to her beloved husband Walter Allen for 60 years, until he passed away in 2008.

Marie was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ashland, where she served as a greeter. She was an active volunteer at Kingwood Center in Mansfield, and enjoyed playing bridge and ballroom dancing. She was the office manager at Taylor Metal for 20 years.

Marie will be deeply missed by her children, Michael (Gail) Allen of Beavercreek, Ohio and Martin (Kathy) Allen of Kalamazoo, Michigan; granddaughter Brandy (Jason) Fisher; grandsons Shane (Fara) Allen, Vance (Christine) Allen, and Joshua (Elissa) Allen; and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1360 Smith Road, Ashland, Ohio 44805 followed by a funeral service at 11:00. Burial will then be held at Ashland County Memorial Park, 1058 US-250, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
