Richard Max Rinehart Jr., 88, of Sterling, died Saturday, July 21, 2018 at his residence. Richard was born January 15, 1930 in Somerton, Ohio to Richard M. and Rose {Rhines} Rinehart. He graduated from Somerton High School in 1948.

He served in the US Army Signal Corps from 1948 to 1952. He married Naioma Ruth Faulkner on June 28, 1953. Richard worked from Roadway Express from 1958 and retired in 1993.

He was a member of the Mount Zion Church of Christ in Sterling. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #89 in Barnesville, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, bowling and watching the Cleveland Indians.

Richard mostly loved teaching baseball and spending time with his family and grandkids. Richard will be deeply missed by his wife of 65 years; children Richard III (Frances, fiancé) of Creston, William (Sandy) of Wadsworth, Donald of Chippewa Lake; grandchildren Rebecca, Donald Jr., Renea, Donna, William Jr., Richard IV, James, and Julia. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Henry, Vance, Fred, Guy and sisters Bea Keylor and Ruth Jefferis.

Friends may call Tuesday from 11 to 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12 at the funeral home with Minister Jerry Toothman officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
