OBIT FOR ASHLAND T-G HEYL FUNERAL HOME (419)289-8233 Jacob Schad age 97 of Ashland, passed away on July 2, 2018 at the Good Shepherd Skilled Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Ashland. Born on December 29, 1920 in Akron, Ohio the son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Lauzenlechner) Schaadt he was an Ashland county resident most of his life. Jacob was a retiree of the General Motors Company in Ontario and was the former Pastor and Founder of the Ashland Christian Center.

Jacob was married to Georgann R. Charles who preceded him in death. Survivors include three step daughters and one step son, Trudy (Roger) Butts of Loudonville, Ohio; Tonda Gregory of Dublin, Ohio; Terra (Rick) Brown of Peninsula, Ohio and Thomas Hudson of Tucson Arizona. One sister, Hilda Ruth Harling of West Virginia also survives.

Mr. Schad was a member of the Ashland Christian Center, he was also a veteran of the United States Army serving his country during World War Two. He enjoyed Sailing. Graveside funeral services will be held at the Ashland County Memorial Park on July 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Harold Gilbert officiating.
