James C. Madden, 61, of Mansfield, died July 4, 2018 at his residence. James was born June 11, 1957 in Staten Island, NY to John and Edna {Murphy} Madden. He graduated from Ashland College with a bachelor’s degree in social work.

James worked at Dale Roy and most recently, Home Depot in Ontario. He enjoyed wood working and enjoying time with friends and family. James will be deeply missed by daughters Abigail (Jeremy) Frame of Ashland and Christy (Mark) Goss of Mansfield; grandchildren Casey Madden, Arika Frame, and Olivia Jones; brothers John (Jody) Madden, Michael Madden, and Leo (Megan) Madden; sisters Mary Ann Madden, Peggy Madden, Eileen (George) Lang, and Kathy Madden; numerous nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents and sister Amy Madden. Private services and inurnment will take place at Ashland County Memorial Park. Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
