Robert “Bob” N. Horner, 92, of Seville, died Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Evergreen by Sanctuary Health Network, in Medina. Bob was born November 12, 1925 in Lodi to Harvey and Grace Horner. He served in the U.S. Navy for six months and was transferred to the U.S. Marine Corps in the MAG 32 – 6th division during WWII.

While serving he was awarded the WWII Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, two Silver Stars and two Bronze Stars. He married Lois Kahl on June 1, 1947. Bob retired from Ohio Farmers Insurance after 40 years as a printer.

He was a member of Leroy United Methodist Church, where he was a custodian. Bob was a member of Lions Club and Masons both in Lodi. He enjoyed hunting, trapping and bowling, but he most loved spending time with his granddaughters.

Bob will be deeply missed by his wife of 71 years; son Craig (Lila) Horner of Seville; grandchildren Eryka (Michael) Boles of Wooster, Cyanne (Kyle May) Horner of Doylestown, Madison Horner of Seville. Bob was preceded in death by his sisters Delores Roberts and Anita Carrier. Friends may call Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville.

Inurnment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with Pastor Robin Dillon officiating, where military rites will be held. Online tributes may be made at www. RobertsFuneralHome.com.
