Larry L. Lingle, 79, of Smithville, died Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Wooster Community Hospital. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Carr officiating.

Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Online tributes may be made at www. RobertsFuneralHome.com.

Larry was born November 15, 1938 in Wooster, Ohio to Irvin and Sarah {Spitler} Lingle. Larry graduated from Smithville High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963.

He married Faye Emerling on April 4, 1964. He worked at Regal Ware for 19 years, and then Rubbermaid for 21 years, and after he retired, loved his part time work at NAPA. Aside from his love to work, he enjoyed agricultural activities, such as mowing and working with the farm animals, even the ones that stole his shoes.

He also loved to hunt, and was a proud member of the NRA. Larry will be deeply missed by his wife, Faye; children Don (Ginny) Lingle, Ken Lingle, and Connie (Sam) Sutton all of Smithville; granddaughter Casey Lingle; sister Emma Conn. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob Lingle, twin sisters Pearl Schaub and Irene Marty.
