Obituary for Marie Self Marie Self, 85, of Bristol, VA passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Christian Care Center of Bristol. She was born in Abingdon, VA on April 20, 1933, a daughter of the late Oliver and Lillie Hyatt Self. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Taylor and two brothers, Howard and N.D. Self.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Naomi Hall and husband Jessie; grandson, Nathan Hall; six sisters, Ruth Smith, Shirley Jones, Dottie Hall, Betty Dove, Linda Bowen, and Geraldine Wooten; three brothers, Harley, Steve, and George Self; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to Marie’s sister, Dottie Hall, Kathy Mornings of Amedysis Hospice, and Christian Care Center for all the love and care shown to Marie during her illness. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2018 at Mountain View Cemetery, Bristol, VA with Brother Vann Seal officiating.
