Marietta R. Smith, was born August 29, 1948 to Barbara Ann Jefferson and Joseph B. Smith in Wilmington, Delaware. At age 70 she went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 24, 2019 . She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dr. Marvin “Buddy” Smith.

He leaves to cherish her memory, one son Mark Smith; a brother, Melvin “Poody” Smith; grandchildren, Ultare Banks, Jahmere Irvin, and Markia Smith, Brhki Lum, Jordan Smith, Alaiya Lum, Taliel Lum; great-granddaughter, Lola Saunders, ad a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends . A Celebration of Life Service will be 9am Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Congo Funeral Home, 201 N. Gray Ave, Wilmington, DE 19805. There will be a viewing from 7:00-8:45am only.

Her burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
