Claudia Carrie Johnson, was born May 28, 1932 to Sadonia Mack and Herbert Hastings in Wilmington, Delaware. She departed this life, May 19, 2019, surrounded by loved ones. She worked at the Wilmington VA Medical Center in Elsmere, Delaware as a Nurse’s Assistant until her retirement.

Claudia was a member Bethel AME Church for many years and also an Eastern Star before her health begin to decline. She was preceded in death by her parents Sadonia Mack and Herbert Hastings; children, Anthony Brittingham, Damita King and Jeffrey Brittingham; grandchildren, Tynetta Brown and Jay Williams; siblings, Caroline Whitaker, Edward Mack, Sara Whitaker, and Nathan Saunders. Claudia leaves to cherish her memory, her children, David Brittingham, George Brittingham, Sandra Brittingham, Michael Brittingham (Sharon), and Whitney Blake; siblings, Sandra Lambert (Harold), Sharon Ocasio, Margorie Mack, Slyvia Whitaker and Pamela Dannon; 19 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren , and a host of other relatives and friends.

. Celebration of Life Service 11:00am, Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Congo Funeral Home, 201 North Gray Avenue, Wilmington, Delaware 19805. There will be a viewing from 9:00-11:00am only.

Her burial will be private.
