Verrelda “Paulette” Watson was born January 26, 1963, to Elsie Mae and Paul Wallace Watson in Snow Hill, Maryland. She went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by loving family and friends on May 9, 2019 in Seasons Hospice at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. “Paulette,” as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, received her early education in the public school system of Snow Hill, Maryland and continued her High School education in the Wilmington public school system.

She worked at the Port of Wilmington as a Stevedore for 5+ years. She played softball in a community league. Her favorite sports teams were the Philadelphia Phillies and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Paulette was very spiritual, a studier of the bible. She was a God fearing woman who listened to gospel music and had a love for old school music. She loved shopping in any store, her style of dressing was second to none.

She enjoyed Interior Decorating and styling hair. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Mae Watson; step-mother, Linda J. Watson; siblings, Shenita Watson, Clinton Mills and Teresa Younger. Paulette leaves to cherish her memory, her fiancé of 15+ yrs, Ernest Parks; children, Chaka Wright and Chakida Wright; grandson, Nabree Wright (Lil Bo); Grandparents, Winnie & Elroy Mason; siblings, Patricia Campbell (Mark), Paul Corbin(Trinette), Carolyn Brown (Michael), Tod Armstrong (Lisa), Keith Miller (Franny), Ericka Watson, Sharette Griffin, James Mills, and Mike Mills; godchild, Kartlee Watson and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
