Marilea Elizabeth Graves Of Lubbock, TX Was born March 19, 1930 in Anadarko, OK to Joseph Goodwin and Ruby Irene (Long) Johnson. She passed away June 18, 2018 in Lubbock, TX at the age of 88. After graduating from high school Marilea attended business school and received her associate’s degree.

She married Don Carl Graves in 1954 at Cyril, OK. She lived in California before moving to Lubbock, TX where she worked for the Lighthouse for the Blind. She moved back to Cyril, OK and she worked in the Administration department at USAO before going to work as a bookkeeper in the weigher’s office at Dolese until her retirement.

She loved traveling to Eureka Springs with her family and she collected cookie jars and dolls. Marilea was an avid reader, and enjoyed many kinds of stories. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marilea is survived by: Her son- Dean Graves Lubbock, TX 2 grandchildren- China Graves and Zack Graves 5 great-grandchildren- Paisley Graves, Shylie Beasley, Kylan Beasley, Shylynn Beasley, Lexi Garcia 1 brother and his wife- Jack and Shirley Johnson Walters, OK 1 sister- Linda Dawdy Cyril, OK Many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by: Her parents 1 sister- Juanita Oswald Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 21st at 10:00 A.M. in the Fairview Cemetery at Apache with Pastor Kip Ackley officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home.
