Marilyn’s Obituary Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, MN 56003 507-388-2288 *** MARILYN’S FUNERAL SERVICE IS RESCHEDULED FOR 11:00 AM THURSDAY FEBRUARY 21, 2019. *** Marilyn Ann Dwyer, age 81 of North Mankato died Friday February 15, 2019 at Monarch Meadows in North Mankato, Minnesota. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Mankato.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at the church on Wednesday. Northview – North Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Marilyn was born August 13, 1937 in Mankato, Minnesota to Frederick and Rosina (Dallmann) Becker. She graduated from Nicollet High School. Marilyn was united in marriage to Joseph Dwyer on October 27, 1962 in Mankato.

While raising their family in Winnebago, Marilyn was a scout and brownie leader and enjoyed bridge club and bowling with friends. After moving to Mankato, she became a regular shopper at Herberger’s and volunteered at her children’s school. Marilyn enjoyed summers at the lake with family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Joseph of North Mankato; two children, Michael (Vicky) Dwyer of New Hope, Lynn (Craig) Willmert of Savage, MN; son-in-law, Mark Stavros of Shakopee, MN; seven grandchildren, Nate and Zach Dwyer, Meghan and Ben Stavros, Nick, Molly and Jack Willmert; two sisters, Jane (Don) Madsen, Diane Pipping; nieces and nephews. Marilyn was welcomed in heaven by her daughter, Michelle, parents and two brothers.
