Marilyn Elaine Williams, 56 of Grant St., East Spencer, NC, passed away Saturday, April 21, at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC She was born, October 14, 1961 in Long Island, NY to the James N. Scott, Sr. and Ethel Williams Wilson. Marilyn was educated in the Cabarrus County Schools and formerly employed as a CNA at area nursing homes. Marilyn was a member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Women of Changes Optimist Club Sunday School Department.

Services will be held Saturday, April 28 at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 719 S. Caldwell St., Salisbury, NC. Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 PM, with funeral services at 2:00 PM with burial to follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, NC. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Precious N. Williams.

Those left to cherish fond memories include one son, Demetrius Williams (Tiffany) of Kennewick, WA; parents, Harold & Ethel Wilson of Mocksville; father, James N. Scott, Sr. of Mocksville; four sisters, Angela Smith (Willis) of Goldsboro, NC, Michele Scott of Richmond, VA, Martha Scott (Emmitt) of Concord, Teresa Crump (Brian) of Mocksville; six brothers, James N. Scott, Jr. of Salisbury, Jeffrey Scott of Winston Salem, NC, Robert Scott of Mocksville, Rev. Kerwyn Wilson (Rev. Faith) of Mocksville, Marcus Wilson (Janice) of Yadkinville, SC and Harold Wilson, Jr. of Lumberton, NC; special friend, Eric Strong of China Grove and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will be meeting at the home of Martha Scott, 2881 Mountcrest Circle, NW, Concord, NC.
