Marilyn Kay Davis, 79, passed away at 9:17 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Four Seasons Health Care in Columbus. Born August 21, 1939 in North Vernon, she was the daughter of Robert Carl and Laura Mildred Sage Roseberry. She married Kenneth N. Davis on June 26, 1960 at the 1st Christian Church in North Vernon; he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Davis graduated from North Vernon High School in 1957. She worked as a realtor for several years before retiring in 1996 in addition to having worked as a beautician and for Kelley’s Greenhouse in North Vernon. She was a member of the 1st Christian Church and attended the 1st Baptist Church.

She was a former member of the Muscatatuck Board of Realtors and had been a member of the North Vernon Chapter #183 of the Order of the Eastern Star for 59 years. Mrs. Davis loved animals, flowers and the pool. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, working crossword puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and family time.

Survivors include daughters, Laura Adams of Paris, and Amy Davis and Jennifer (Brad) Campbell, both of North Vernon; grandchildren, Amber Davis, Kenneth Jacob (Kalyn Short) Asher, Katherine Asher, and Isaiah Asher, all of North Vernon, Desi (Alexis Hasick) Adams of Seymour, and Jade Adams of Paris; great grandchildren, Trea Audrey Davis, Wraen Lawson, and Makala Asher, all of North Vernon, Ethan Butler of Seymour, and Dax Spear of Scipio; and dogs, Sollie and Annie. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Laura Sage Roseberry; husband, Kenneth Davis; brother, Bobby Roseberry; and dogs, Charlie and Sadie. A funeral service for Mrs. Davis will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev.

Al Davisson officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue, Our Hospice of Southern Indiana, or Sandy Back Moore for Animal Rescue.
