Marilyn Jean Judy, 80, passed away on April 25, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family, after a long time illness of strokes. She was born on February 2, 1938 in Caribou, Maine to the late Joseph and Annette (Bouchard) Plante. She was also preceded in death by her sister Carol Railing.

Marilyn was a lifelong member of St. Barbara Catholic Church and worked for their bereavement committee for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting and shopping. Marilyn’s greatest passion was being a loving wife of 61 years to her husband Richard, being a mother and especially a grandmother and great-grandmother.

She will be remembered for her dedication to her family and her laughter. Marilyn is survived by her husband Richard; children Karen (David) Render, Michael Judy, and Kathryn (Timothy) Erdely; special niece Brenda (Cecil) Husk; granddaughters Ashley (fiancé Brian Hale) Erdely and Amy ( fiancé Marcus Clark) Erdely; great-grandchildren Cadence, Uriah, Gracie, Gabriel, Claire and Alijah; and brothers Terrance Plante, David Plante and Adrian Plante. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Massillon with Fr. James McKarns officiating. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family would also like to give special thanks to Crossroads Hospice for their care and compassion for Marilyn, as well as her caregivers Holly, Tianna, Marissa and Tiffany. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Drive, Uniontown, OH 44685.
