Linda L. Hendon, age 75 of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018. She was born in Canton, Ohio on August 15, 1942 and was the daughter of Adrian and Edith (Horne) Smith. Linda was an active member of First Baptist Church and served on the funeral meal committee.

She had a passion for crocheting and often made lap blankets that were donated to many causes. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Edward Hendon in 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Drew) Markley, her sons, Kevin (Cheryl) Harris and Scott (Tina) Hendon.

She was also the birth mother of and is survived by Lisa Marie Andujar and her children Marissa and Desiree. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kristin, Courtney, Elena, Alexis, A.J., Lindsay and Averie, her great grandchildren, Hunter and Harper, her sister Carol Gallion and her brother Jack (Pat) Smith. The funeral will take place on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday at the church one hour before the service. The family would like to thank the staff at Altercare of Navarre and Absolute Hospice as well as Dr. Noman Rafique and the staff at Tri-County Hematology. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Linda L. Hendon Memorial Fund, 20-6th Street SE, Massillon, OH 44646.
