David Allen Rice, 64, of Massillon, passed away on April 16, 2018 at Aultman Hospital. He was born on June 1, 1953 in Canton to the late Wilma (Eck) Rice. David proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He married Carole Young on July 8, 1989. They shared 28 loving years together. David worked as a phosphate operator for the Hoover Company where he retired from after 30 years of service.

In his spare time, David loved to go fishing with his son. He was a strong advocate for the NRA, enjoyed American history and overall love for his country. He was also a devout Christian.

Most importantly, David was a family man and loved spending time with his wife and children. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Carole; children Sarah Rice and Matthew Rice; siblings Chrissy Rice, Cindy (Herb) Hull and Rick (Linda) George; and 3 grandchildren. In addition to his mother, David was preceded in death by his grandmother Blanche Eck.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Brookfield Cemetery. To send flowers or a remembrance gift to the family of David Rice, please visit our Tribute Store.
