Obituary for Marion “Steino” “Hoss” Franicevich Marion “Steino” “Hoss” Franicevich passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 surrounded by his family and friends and his beloved cat, TeeSuDee at the age of 90 and a half years old. Beloved husband of Janet K. Franicevich for 49 years. Father of Blanche Vodopija (Matt), Louis Franicevich (Marilyn), Monette Marange (Douglas), and Marisha Smith (Jarrod).

Son of the late Blanche Trosclair Franicevich and Marion M. Franicevich. Brother of Julie Fourroux (the late Henry), and Ruth Ann Thoman. Grandfather of Antonio Fabiano (fiance, Cindy), and Blayde Franicevich.

Great grandfather of Blayde Mark Franicevich. Marion was raised by Antonia “Kin” Trosclair after his mother’s death and also by his Aunt Bertha Trosclair. Also survived by Ronnie Kennair, a very close family member, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

Above all things, he felt the need to make people laugh. His greatest passion besides his children was pompano fishing. He loved being on the water and seeing the sun rise.

He is the last member of the Franicevich-Ostrica , LA natives. Although he finished his last days in Belle Chasse, Buras was always his home. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 Hwy 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 11am.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at the church from 9am until 11am. Interment, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery. Special thanks to Anthony “Speedy” Petkovich for all of “Hoss’s” extra years.
