Marion Ardell Olsen Marion Ardell Olsen, 79, beloved husband, father, and brother passed away November 14, 2018, in Ogden Utah. He was born October 20, 1939 in Neola, Utah to Carlos Clifford and Deeatha South Olsen. He was the third of five children.

He grew up in Neola, Utah on a ranch where he learned the value of hard work and took pride in it. He graduated from Union High School in Roosevelt, Utah where he excelled in band. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1962-1967.

Ardell met his eternal sweetheart in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were married on June 6, 1981 at her parents’ home in Henderson, Nevada; and were later sealed at the Swiss Temple on Zollikofen, Switzerland on 1983. Together Ardell and Dana had two children, Kimberly Ann Olsen and Marion Ardell Olsen II.

They raised them in Europe and Ogden, UT. He had two children, Clifford and Christina Olsen, from a previous marriage. He worked for Sunset Life where he received his CLU and was a member of the Captains Table receiving its coveted ring.

He was also a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. In 1995 while still working in the insurance industry, Ardell created and marketed the Book of Mormon Quest games. They were followed by the Bible Quest games.

Ardell loved the Lord and always tried to do the right thing. He was a gentle soul with an upbeat personality, a smile on his face, and never had an unkind thing to say about anyone. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many different callings and enjoying them all.

He loved his family and had no greater wish than to be with them and make them happy. He loved to travel with them throughout Europe and the United States, becoming quite the photographer. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Meldrin; his sister, Eulala (Julie).

He is survived by his wife, Dana; his daughter, Kimberly; and his son, Marion Ardell Olsen II (Sonny); his brother Warden (Happy); his sister Blanche Jolene Miller (Roy). Funeral Services will be held at 11 am The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Fourth Ward Chapel; 1791 North 600 East, North Ogden, UT on Monday, November 19, 2018. A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd.

and Monday at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. He will be buried at Evergreen Memorial Park in Ogden.
