Sylvester “Baybay” Scott, 71, passed away November 3, 2018, surrounded by family. Sylvester was born January 31, 1947 to Jessie Ann and George Scott Sr He graduated from Ben Lomond High School, where he excelled in athletics, especially basketball.

He was an accomplished drummer, dedicated father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Sylvester was self-employed. Sylvester married the love of his life Sherri Petty.

They enjoyed watching sports together and frequent trips to Wendover. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren and extended family. His contagious beautiful smiled could light up any room.

Sylvester is survived by his wife Sherri Scott, his children: Deon Maurice Scott Sr., Terry Lynn Binns Scott, Allyse LaRhonda Moreland (Micheal), Everett Scott, Sylvester LaPriest, Scott Jones and Tayvia Scott. Step Children: Brianne Daniels, Brian Daniels (Brooke) Siblings: Bennie Mae Hopkins, George Scott Jr., Darletha Scott (George). 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

And a host of nieces of nephews. Sylvester is preceded in death by his parents, Siblings: Jessie Scott, Ella Sattiewhite, Galveston Scott, Donald Scott, Christa Belle Scott daughter: Katherin Minette Scott. Celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM at New Zion Baptist Church at 2935 Lincoln Ave.

Ogden. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park.
