Gary Robert Isakson was born January 1, 1940, to Nelson Theodore and Evelyn Neuteboom Isakson. Gary passed away peacefully on October 31, 2018, at the age of 78. Gary loved the outdoors and nature.

He especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his dogs. He also enjoyed flying and riding motorcycles. For many years Gary worked in Malad, Idaho, where he was a Jack of all trades.

Gary was a strong man, had a cheerful disposition, and loved to tease. He was well liked by all who knew him. Gary was a veteran and served as an “oiler” in the Navy.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Gary suffered a debilitating stroke in 2008 and has lived at South Ogden Post-Acute Rehabilitation Center since that time. Family members would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and aides who provided care for Gary during his residency.

Gary is survived by his sister, Karen Jean Woolsey, and preceded in death by his parents, Nelson T. and Evelyn N. Isakson, and siblings, Wayne Richard Isakson and Patsy Ann Marquez. A viewing will be held on November 7, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th St, Ogden, Utah. A graveside service will be held on November 8, 2018 at noon at the Rosehill Section, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd, Ogden.
