Katheryn Louise (Wahlin) Vestal September 20, 1930 – December 17, 2018 Our Dear Mamma passed away peacefully on December 17, 2018 in Great Falls, Montana surrounded by family. Katheryn Louise was born to her loving parents Oscar Houtz Wahlin and Marie Clark on September 20, 1930 in Scofield, Utah. She married Kenneth Cook and later John D Taylor.

Mama loved her family dearly; Brother; Gary Hammond (Cathy), Children; Bryon Cook (Cara), Michael Cook (Melanie), Misty Nelson (Steve), Myra Lehman (Jay), Annette Martinez, Leslie Taylor Clifton (Ralph), Robert Taylor (Michelle). Dianna Taylor Douglas, Yvonne Taylor (Arnold), Tracy Taylor Farley (Roger), Teresa Taylor Trujillo (Sid). Mama was a proud grandmother of 33 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren.

Katheryn Louise enjoyed many years of employment at South Weber Job Corp, educating and impacting the lives of the youth in Weber County, while verbalizing the influence the youth had on her as she did on them. Furthering her career working as a Senior Companion at Weber County Human Services, assisting the elderly and handicap individuals whom loved her dearly. Louise spent many years in service to her fellow man and women by mentoring through sponsoring many individuals out of addiction and into a healthy lifestyle, leading many people to our Lord and Savior, and each of them to a healthy lifestyle without drugs and alcohol, bringing many to the saving grace of our Lord and Savior, and giving many hugs or an extra hand without wanting or expecting anything in return.

Mom loved traveling, spending time with family camping, enjoying time outdoors and watching birds, squirrels, deer and especially the quails in her yard. Her laugh and smiles were infectious, and she was loved by everyone she knew and met. Mama spent endless hours with love cooking for family and friends, and everyone that knew mama loved her homemade chili and scones (NEVER SCONE ALONE!

). Mom is preceded in death by her loving parents; Oscar Houtz Wahlin, Marie Clark Hammond and Delbert Hammond. Siblings; Dee Wahlin, Ronnie Hammond, Debra Hammond, Donald Hammond, Kay Peterson, Leslie Hammond and Carol Williamson.

Grand Children; Nikki Kindred, Roark Cook, Glade Taylor and Great grandson Kenneth Dwello. Celebration of Life will be held Friday January 11, 2019 in Ogden, Utah. Viewings will be Thursday evening January 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and January 11 from 11:00 am to 11:45 am at Myers Mortuary 845 Washington Blvd.
