Obituary for Gloria Havens Rich Gloria Havens Rich, 62, passed away at her home in Roy, UT on December 18, 2018. She was born in Ogden, UT on July 4, 1956 to Glen Clair and Betty Jean Gibbons Havens. She married Randel Keith Rich in the Ogden LDS Temple on March 16, 1984 and to this union they were blessed with 4 children.
She grew up in Washington Terrace, UT where she received her elementary education and graduated from Bonneville High School. She went on to Weber State University and graduated with an Associate degree. She has resided in Roy, UT for the last 31 years where she raised her family.
Gloria was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed attending church services and going to the Temple. She was a member of The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She also enjoyed her calling as Ward Chorister for many years. She loved crocheting, knitting, sewing clothes and blankets and was an avid reader. He favorite reading was romance mystery novels.
Gloria is beloved of many and had a sweet, caring and outgoing personality. She had the gift of being able to strike up a conversation with strangers. She is survived by her Husband of 34 years: Randel; Father Glen C. Havens; Children: Stephanie Rich, Timothy Rich, Kimberly Rich Smith (Stephen), Jacob Rich; 4 Grandchildren: Cheyanne, Penelope, Makayla, Dimitri; Siblings: Raymond Havens( ), Charles Havens, Paul Havens, Nancy Carter (Neil) and Carol Henninger.
She was preceded by her Mother Betty Jean Gibbons Havens. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 21, 2018 at 1:30p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3649 West 4800 South, Roy, UT. A viewing will be held prior to services from 12:00-1:00p.m. Interment will follow in the Morgan South City Cemetery.
The family would like to express appreciation to the Nurses and Staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center and Mt. Ogden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the care given to Gloria.
