David James Bement, passed away December 19, 2018 in Layton, Utah. He was born on August 22, 1944 to James Homer Bement and Almeda Emelene Meyers Bement in Bend, Oregon. He graduated from Trinity High School in Weaverville, CA.

February 1965, he married Rosetta Mae Hilton; she preceded him in death, April 9, 2017, David had been her care giver for many years. He retired honorably from the US Air Force. He was also an avid gun collector and enjoyed reloading his own ammo.

David is survived by his sister, Diana Bement; brother, Richard (Sharon) Bement; nieces, Marie (Matt), Susan (Wayne); nephews, Don, (Carol), Daron (Ashley); and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sister, Irene. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 250 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah.

Family and friends may gather prior to services from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
