Robert Tafoya Robert Tafoya passed away on November 4, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born on April 30, 1943 in Ogden, Utah to Isabell Heredia and John Tafoya. Robert grew up in Ogden and attended Ben Lomond High School.

He was an avid sports player, playing football and most other sports, he also held the record for pole vault at Mound Fort Jr. High School. Robert served his county in the United States Army and served in Vietnam. Robert married Karen Terkelson in 1962, they were later divorced.

Robert then met the love of his life Bobbie Beal, they were married on June 6, 1996. Robert was a devote Catholic. He was also a member of the Elks, Eagles and the president of the Big Horn 4×4 Club.

Robert loved to hunt and fish outdoors. He loved working on his Jeep and cars for car shows. His family and friends were everything, he loved to make people laugh.

Robert is survived by his wife, Bobbie, children: Robert Lee Tafoya, Karena Destry Ann Tafoya Parkinson, Christina Marie Tafoya Eddy; 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: June Garcia, John “Tony” Tafoya, Jackie Hernandez, and Timmy Tafoya. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 nephews and a son-in-law Troy.

His family would like to thank the staff at Brighton Hospice, Tiffany, and Jared and Wendy with MedStar. They would also like to thank Kristy, Nicole, Travis, Braden, Jessica, and Destry for their loving care of Robert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 12, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018, from 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. , Ogden. Military honors accorded.

Cremation entrusted to Myers Mortuary.
