Walter W. Sturgeon Feb. 11, 1922-Nov. 4, 2018” “Cloē your man is home” Walter W. Sturgeon of Farr West, went on the road again to join the love of his life, his precious eternal companion, Cloē.

On Sunday, November 4, 2018, he died of old age at home with family. Walt was born February 11, 1922. In (Red Pump) Bel Air, Maryland.

He was the eighth child of ten born to Harry H. and Mary A. Barborka Sturgeon. He had six sisters and three brothers. He married his one true love Cloē Ida Taylor Waddoups, on May 9, 1958 in Clinton Utah.

The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He was a veteran of World War II. He spent 3 years in the 9th Air Force in the USA, Europe and Japan.

He had worked for Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. in Baltimore, MD for 7 years. He worked for 16 years for WF Fuller Co. in Ogden, Ut, Taught school in the Davis School District for 20 years retiring in 1984. Walt and Cloē loved to travel, they traveled extensively in the USA and Canada (by car).

They collected rocks, gems and crystals. His favorite pastimes were raising and breeding pigeons and taking care of his flower gardens. Walter is Survived by his 5 children Dennis Sturgeon, Della VanZutphen (Mike), Cleve Waddoups (Sharol), Brent Waddoups, Lynda Taylor (Bob) a daughter in-law Melanie Sturgeon, 25 grandchildren, 60+ great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his son David Sturgeon, daughter in laws Sherrie Sturgeon & Judy Waddoups, 2 grandsons, 1 great grandchild, 6 sisters, 3 brothers and his parents A viewing will be held Tuesday Nov, 13, 2018 from 1:00-1:45 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 at Evergreen Memorial Park 100 N Monroe Blvd. “Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that’s the way I’ll remember you all.
