Mark A. Stanton, 61, of Evansville, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at his home. Mark was born December 10, 1957 in Jersey City, NJ to the late John B and Jo Ann (Lambert) Stanton. He worked as a fork truck operator for over 41 years at Silgan Containers Corporation.

He enjoyed collecting coins and fishing. Surviving Mark are his wife of 20 years, Evelyn Stanton; daughters, Skye Stanton and Terri Lynn Matlock; sons, Shawn Stanton and Mark Robert Lade; stepsons, Kyle, Kasey and Paul Michael Montgomery; sisters, Mary Ann Macken, Theresa Clark, Doris Harrison and Linda Stanton; four brothers, John, Craig, Steven and Jerry Stanton and many grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his son, Scott Lee Stanton in 2003.

Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pierre Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses. Condolences may be made online at www.
