Obituary of Mark Coburn Mark William Coburn, 69, Boise, went to be with our Father in Heaven Friday January 11, 2019. Mark was born August 19, 1949, in McCall, Idaho, to William and Druisella Coburn. Dad grew up in McCall with lots of wonderful friends and family.

He moved to Boise in 1963 and graduated from Capital High School in 1967. He married Donna (King) Coburn in 1968 and they had five children. Dad worked his hands at many trades in his life.

He was a cook, a mechanic, a truck driver and many other things. He worked at Waremart for several years until joining Associated Foods where he worked for over 20 years as a truck driver and mechanic until he retired in 2003. After retiring from Associated, he just couldn’t leave those big rigs alone and hauled concrete for a while and drove for FedEx for a few more years.

Dad was very creative, intelligent, and hard-working. He liked to tinker and build things including a huge castle out of pallets in the backyard as a playhouse for his kids. That playhouse was the talk of the neighborhood.

He was the neighborhood mechanic fixing up others cars on the side because it was something he loved to do. He was never afraid to get his hands dirty and always smelled like oil and gasoline. He taught his family the value of hard work and perseverance.

He cared for his sister Sandy and took great care of her to the end of her life. He had a wonderful cat named Ariel that he adored. He took pride in his children and grandchildren and their accomplishments.

The legacy he leaves behind is raising children that know the value of working hard, helping others, giving of your time to help those in need, and standing by your word. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was always willing to help his family and friends and even those he hardly knew.

He loved his family and he will be dearly missed. Mark was preceded in death by his parents William and Druisella Coburn, his sister Sandra Coburn, numerous relatives, and his beloved cat Ariel. He is survived by his five children, Mark (Staci) Coburn II of Oregon, Shelley Ward, Stephanie (Coburn) Caruso, Mindy Coburn, Shawna (Terry) Bell and his 10 grandsons, Shawn(Tiffany), Cody, Brandon, Chance, Spencer, Ethan, Skyler, Trevor, Sterling and Kyle.

And two great-grandsons Zaiden and Xander with a third, Cyrus, on the way. Interment will take place Friday, January 18th, 2019, at Drycreek Cemetery. A memorial celebration of Mark’s life will take place at 3:00 p.m. Saturday January 19th, 2019 at Summers Funeral Home, 3629 E Ustick Rd, Meridian Id 83642.
