Marlene’s Obituary Marlene A. “Molly” LaViolette, 78, Green Bay, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019. She was born on August 16, 1940, in Green Bay to Arthur and Cecelia (Van Roy) Laes. Molly attended Green Bay East High School.

She waitressed at the Hotel Northland. Molly met John “Jack” LaViolette at her brother’s wedding. She had problems with her camera and Jack helped her fix it – the rest is history.

They married on November 24, 1962. Together, they had three children and she stayed home to raise them. Molly was a great homemaker and loved to cook, knit and take care of others.

She really enjoyed watching cooking shows and knitting dish rags as gifts for everyone. Molly was a huge Roy Orbison fan and would bring her own Roy Orbison CD’s with her to any family get-together. Her favorite past time was playing cards, especially Spite and Malice.

She loved to spoil her fur-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jack; her children, Lisa (Ken) Pieczynski, Michelle (William) Rose, and Michael (Holly) LaViolette; grandchildren, Kyle, Collin, and Lauren Pieczynski, Kendel (Adam Chojnacki) Rose, Evan and Anna LaViolette; siblings, Betty Laes, Jimmy (Pat) Laes, Bobby Laes, Sherry Mero, Mary Koty, David Laes, Bonnie (Dan) Hall; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Molly was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Larry (Rosemary) Laes, Earl (Mary Jane) Laes, Joseph (Bev) Laes, Carly Laes, Laverne Rowell, Ray Laes, and Donna (Carl) Burkel.

Friends may call at St. Willebrord Catholic Church, 209 S. Adams St., from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Andrew G. Cribben O.Praem officiating. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
