Obituary for Marlene C. “Molly” Dal Porto Marlene C. “Molly” Dal Porto passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Copper Ridge in Butte with her loving family at her side. She was born in Helena, Friday, July 21, 1933. Her parents, Henry and Clara (Henry) Calhoun raised her in Silver Star and Butte where she graduated from Butte High School.

Molly received her nursing education in Butte, Missoula and ultimately graduated from MSU in Bozeman. She and Robert Dal Porto were married in Butte on September 24, 1951 and he passed away May 25, 2012. Molly worked as registered nurse in Butte at several places including Silver Bow General Hospital and Community Health for Dr. Moore.

She was a longtime and active member of Heritage Bible Church and enjoyed bible studies as well as playing Bridge. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and John Absher of Butte, Teri McGee of Butte and Rad Payne of California. Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and James Arlint, grandchildren: John and Sara Absher, Dan Absher, Sarah and Dustin Homler, Troy McGee, Kelly Conway, Chad and Kelsey Payne, great-grandchildren: Kristiana Osterman, Keyenna McGee, Shayne, Jayde, Sarah and Tasha Conway, Abbie and Titus Absher, great-great-grandchildren: Kaycen and Ryder Conway.

Other survivors include her niece and family, Claire Louise and Bill Churchill, James W. James and Kermit F. James. Besides her husband Robert, Molly is also preceded in death by daughter, Loree Payne, granddaughter, Brandi Smiley, great-granddaughter, Tyana Conway, nephew, James C.
