Obituary for Mrs. Marlene Lynn Brown Mrs. Marlene Lynn Savoy Brown Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mrs. Marlene Lynn Savoy Brown, 47, who entered eternal rest, Sunday, October 14, 2018 at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Park. Mrs. Brown is survived by Lawrence Savoy, Sr. & Emily Savoy of Opelousas, LA; a son, Fredrick D. Brown, Jr. (DaKayla) of Lake Charles, LA; three daughters, Danielle Brown (Stephen) of Lake Charles, LA, Whitney Brown and Makalyn Savoy both of Opelousas, LA; five brothers, Lawrence Savoy, Jr. of Opelousas, LA, Ronald Savoy (Ann) of Garden City, KS, Shawn A. Savoy (Robin) of Opelousas, LA, Earlest A. Savoy (Shelly) of Sunset, LA and Leron Victorian (Angelique) of Opelousas, LA; two sisters, Bridgette Savoy and Crystal E. Guidry (Martin) both of Sunset, LA; four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Martha Joubert; paternal grandmother, Laurentine C. Savoy; maternal grandfather, Earliest Jones; paternal grandfather, Freddie Savoy, Sr; uncles, Hayward Jones, Harry Jones, Nolan Savoy, Freddie Savoy, Jr. and Alex Savoy; aunts, Florence Griffin and Anna Lee Sylvester.
